IEQ-5 Note 1: Daylight Glare Control
Product is likely to assist in a project obtaining this credit
as it meets the prescribed glare control requirements as either a
fixed shading device or occupant controlled automated
blinds/screens. Credit point is achieved where fixed shading
devices are fitted to each typical glazing configuration and meet
the prescribed requirements, or occupant controlled automated
screen/blinds are provided by the base building; connected to a
Building Management System (BMS); have a Visual Light Transmittance
(VLT) of less than 10% and are fitted with manual overrides are
fitted.
Product may contribute as an individual component, in
combination with other suitable components, in achieving a Daylight
Glare Control that complies, in whole or in part, with the
prescribed requirements.
