Extremely low VOC, low maintenance (compared to others), homogeneous, environmentally preferred vinyl floorings designed specifically for wet and safety floor areas. For all commercial and industrial applications.

Product Description:

Granit Multisafe is designed to be non-slip specifically for barefoot wet and safety floor areas, complying with Australian Standards for Slip Resistance Flooring Appendix A & B (corridors) as well as Appendix C (barefoot wet area eg: ensuites & bathrooms) & Appendix D (oil wet ramps).

Vinyl floor covering, with zero formaldehyde emissions and extremely low VOC emissions. Reinforced with UV catalysed polyurethane (Safe-T Clean), therefore requires no sealers, waxes or polishes for the lifetime of the flooring (unverified manufacturer claim).

The type of polyurethane used is a specially formulated non-solvent based system for lower VOC emissions. Safe-T Clean also makes the floors highly durable and easy and more cost effective to maintain by reducing labour and material costs by up to 30% (unverified manufacturer claim). Independent UK study has shown Tarkett iQ products and derivatives have the lowest life cycle cost. (BRE UK Life Cycle Study)

Use of more eco-friendly calcium zinc stabiliser replaces lead stabiliser. 23% recycled content used in product through onsite recycling plants. Non-directional visual minimises wastage.

Available in a range of colours. Suitable for use in commercial heavy traffic areas e.g. health care, education, retail, offices etc. and all commercial applications, including health, educational and industrial.Tarkett does not recommend the use of sealers and polishes on safety floors as will change the slip coefficent rating of the product.

Suitable for use in all wet areas as defined in AS4586.

Ecospecifier Issues Of Concern / Red Lights

Product contains Titanium Dioxide used as a colouring agent, possibly carcinogenic to humans if inhaled, as classified by IARC, it also causes sensitization to the skin.  It is unlikely to cause harm as it is embedded within the product, therefore will not physically come into contact with or be inhaled by users.
