ENVIRO Plasterboard is manufactured using Recycled Materials Technology and is available for residential and commercial uses. Used as a lining material for walls and ceilings and provide a smooth stable base for decorative finishes. Boral monitors environmental performance through an Environmental Management System and has a recycling service in which plasterboard waste is recycled into new plasterboard or used as soil conditioner.
An alternative to particleboard or plywood, the ENVIRO Plasterboard can be used for standard plasterboard applications including wall linings, ceiling linings, ceiling plasterboards and partition walls. The product range comprises ENVIRO Regular and ENVIRO Soundstop. Soundstop is used for sound isolation between rooms, whereas Firestop is used in fire rate construction. The product has been independently tested by GECA to have 10% overall recycled content. All Boral plasterboard lining products comply with GreenStar specification limits for VOCs and formaldehyde. Boral claims that 100% recycled waste paper fibre is used in the manufacture of the plasterboard paper liner. The product is warranted for 15 years.
