Treatex Hardwax Oil ECO is a timber floor coating made from waxes based on natural, sustainable raw materials including: linseed oil, wood oil, carnauba wax, candelilla wax, sunflower oil, thistle oil, jojoba oil and beeswax.

Non-toxic, no pollutants, virtually solvent-free (99% solids). Recommended for those prone to allergies. Substitute for polyurethane products.

Treatex is a 2 coat system, most other waxes are 3 or 4 coat systems. Application quantity (approx.)

-      1st coat approx. 30-40 sq m/litre

-      2nd coat approx. 40-50 sq m/litre

The wax allows timber surface to breathe and move naturally. Water repellent and dirt resistant, durable hard wax finish. Manufacturer claims  finish doesn't flake, blister or peel as the product does not form a skin, and will not discolour. Virtually odourless after application. Slip resistant.

Hardwax Oil Eco is not suitable for cork, OSB and very microporous timber.

After use- bales of gauze cloths soaked with Treatex Hardwax Oil ECO must be spread out in the air for drying before disposal, otherwise heat-accumulation can cause self-ignition.
