Cork is non-flammable, buoyant, and
waterproof, has excellent sound and heat insulating properties and
is compressible and re-compressible, properties that enable cork to
be used in a wide range of products and applications.
Cork tiles are manufactured from waste cork.
After the bark of the cork oak is harvested and dried, the
manufacturing of cork stoppers (for wine bottles etc.) takes place.
This waste cork is then ground up and used for the manufacture of
cork tiles like the MJO Traditional.
