Product Detail

Overview

Composite decking material made from approximately 60% recycled hardwood sawdust and 40% polypropylene. Suitable for outdoor residential and commercial applications.

CorrectDeck decking consists of a majority of recycled hardwood fibre (sawdust) and with virgin and reclaimed polypropylene. Post-consumer recycled materials, such as the recycled wood fibre and reclaimed polypropylene in this product, divert waste from landfills.

Reclaimed polypropylene makes up a significant proportion of the polypropylene in the product. There is potential to use more recycled polypropylene without adversely affecting its application. Polypropylene is recyclable and can be recycled via original raw material processing.

Polypropylene makes the decking stronger, stiffer and lighter than other composite wood products. As such it can experience higher temperatures with minimal expansion and contraction. Product carries a 25 year limited warranty, reflecting its good durability properties.

The product's composition does not absorb moisture, therefore water sealers are not required. After two weathering seasons an oil or latex stain may be applied. However product exhibits good weathering resistance, potentially avoiding the need for surface treatments in many exterior applications.

CorrectDeck, available in a variety of sizes and lengths and in three colours, is slightly crowned to shed water and is made with an embossed wood grain. Product has a hidden fastening system, eliminating screw holes.
