Overview
Terraçade is an innovative, lightweight terracotta rain screen and rear ventilated facade system made from natural clay, which can be used as a complete or partial façade solution for commercial, industrial and residential applications.
Terraçade, assists in reducing energy use throughout the building by promoting air flow against the substrate wall. The airflow created within the air cavity helps to regulate the buildings temperature and removes airborne moisture from within the cavity. The majority of material used in the entire system is not only strong, and highly durable, but also readily re-usable or recyclable.
The polypropylene membrane facilitates the escape of vapour from within the frame, but restricts the entry of rain and moisture. This allows moisture within the building to escape before it creates issues within the structure, which can vary from mould growth through to timber rot in the framing.
Combining the innate durability of fired clay, a unique low-maintenance design, and resistance to weather extremes, Terraçade is a long-lasting and cost-effective product. The manufacturing process of the Terraçade tile involves firing of natural clays, so no VOC or hazardous substances are derived or emitted from a Terraçade tile façade.
Terraçade TN has been designed to act as a rainscreen and a rear ventilated facade system. It consists of fired clay tiles, stainless steel suspension rails, waterproof polypropylene membrane and visible aluminium trims.. Terraçade can be directly fixed onto a timber frame, metal frame, masonry blockwork, masonry brickwork, pre-cast concrete panels and formed concrete panels. The combination of lightweight tiles attached securely on a vertical suspension rail and innovative design ensures simple planning and rapid installation. EPDM with acrylic adhesive is used to help reduce any potential rattle or associated noise
Terraçade XP has been designed to act as a rear ventilated curtain wall system. It consists of fired clay tiles, horizontal fixing rails, visible aluminium trims and waterproof polypropylene membrane. The profile of the fired clay tiles provides the appearance that the tiles are 150mm high once they are installed onto the wall, changing the appearance of the façade. EPDM with acrylic adhesive helps reduce any potential rattle or associated noise. The horizontal rails are designed to retain and support the tiles once they are fixed onto a timber frame, metal frame, masonry blockwork, masonry brickwork, pre-cast concrete panels or formed concrete panels.
