CSR Hebel produce a range of innovative building materials made
from AAC. These lightweight products are formed into blocks and
panels for a wide range of both load-bearing and non load-bearing
construction applications. Products are moulded, cut and steam
pressure cured in an autoclave before being packed, ready for
transport.
A core component of CSR-Hebel AAC products is
PowerPanelTM a 75mm thick, steel mesh reinforced panel
system, supplied in various lengths and profiles to suit, wall and
fence requirements. PowerFloor is a higher density 150-300mm thick
flooring system.
AAC composite products provide comparable benefits/qualities of
traditional masonry, including strength, acoustics, fire and pest
resistance, but as lightweight products are quicker and easier to
install, reducing labour and transport energy costs. Thermal
resistance and thermal mass properties of CSR- Hebel AAC products
(approx. R value of 1.67 for 200mm thick leaf, 1.9 for 75mm Hebel
Veneer with Wall Wrap) can significantly improve the energy
efficiency of buildings, reducing the need for heating and cooling,
and associated energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
CSR Hebel has developed products and systems suitable for
various construction applications, including:
- New detached housing (Free standing homes)
- Alterations and additions (Renovations and extensions)
- Low rise multi-residential (Townhouses, villas, duplexes,
seniors living)
- High rise multi-residential (Apartments over 4 storeys)
- Commercial and Industrial (Warehouses, factories, shopping
centres)
- Civil Sound Barriers (Freeway / Road Noise walls)
Certified by the Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA)
eco-label. A Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) found that Hebel products
and systems have significantly reduced environment loads (of at
least 30%) in comparison to brick veneer and concrete products for
similar applications. Lightweight products significantly reduce
material use, and labour and transport energy costs.
