Freestone ECO Retaining Wall System is manufactured with 36.5% recycled glass aggregate, which is a by-product derived from recycled glass container bottles. The use of recycled glass in products results in reduction of cement usage, and further reduces CO2 emissions. It also provides a cost-effective reduction in the total amount of mixed glass waste being sent to landfill. The Freestone ECO Blocks for the Future are available in either exposed aggregate or smooth surface finishes.
Each Freestone ECO block has self locating lugs which easily lock into the block above to provide a vertical wall. Purpose made 90 degree corner and bullnose capping are available to provide a complete system. Freestone ECO blocks have a minimal setback which allows all available space to be utilized to the maximum. The large sized hollow blocks allow for steel reinforcing and concrete core fill where required, providing an earthquake resistant wall which can also accommodate fences and services.
The product is GreenTag GreenRate Level C Certified under Scheme C6.
The product is also GreenTag LCARate Bronze Certified achieving the GreenTag EcoPoint score of 0.75 and meets the following criteria:
