Hex is a range of lightweight products (315
g/m2) with a yarn dyed jacquard weave available in 9
colours. The fabric is inherently fire resistant meeting the
AS 1530.3 standard without the addition of fire retardants.
The fabrics also meet the fitness for purpose requirements for
colour fastness.
The Australian sourced wool is scoured and dyed under ISO 14001
EMS certified facilities, and the processes meet the robust
requirements of the GreenTag Supplementary Standard for Textiles,
including emissions to water restrictions. The upholstery fabric
has undergone a Life Cycle Assessment and the rapidly renewable
wool acts as a carbon sink, sequestering more carbon throughout its
life cycle than is emitted during manufacturing and use.
The Hex range are able to be recycled by
Woven Image, if uncontaminated by adhesives, toxic substances,
finishes, coatings and any other additive or material that
compromises the recycling of the textiles.
