X-Board™ Core is a board core material intended for further lamination with print-receptive fibreboard, timber veneer, plywood, MDF, particle board, Masonite, high-pressure laminates or solid surface materials to manufacture lightweight boards suited for a wide range of applications, including wall panels, partitions, benchtops, office workstation tops, semi-solid oversize doors, ceiling beams, shop fit displays, and contemporary, flat-packed furniture.
X-Board™ Core is made from post-consumer recycled paper and agricultural fibre waste (bagasse). Fibres are bonded with organic, starch-based VOC-free adhesives with no formaldehyde resins added. The core fibres are fully recyclable through local cardboard collection services or through Xanita, with the company offering a product stewardship program.
X-Board™ Core weighs only 90kg/m3, thus significantly reducing the weight of joinery components, placing less stress on hinges and draw-tracks. It allows specialists to reduce the amount of hardware and design products that would be impossible to manufacture from other materials due to weight constraints. The product has the ability to be easily shaped and cut (depends on lamination type).
