Sheets can be cut using a fine tooth handsaw at low speeds or an abrasive wheel. Cutting produces dust which should be removed either by a vacuum cleaner or an air gun.

Polycarbonate snap on connectors and stainless steel fasteners hold Multicell sheets in place. Compact uses polycarbonate spacer between sheets and a stainless steel retention plate. A minimum roof pitch of 5° is recommended (87mm/1000mm).For maintenance and accessibility, walking boards should be used across the connectors.




Use of product facilitates natural daylight which creates energy efficiency benefits by reducing the need for artificial lighting during daylight hours. The Multicell panels particularly provide significant reductions in demand for air conditioning with high R-values resulting in increased energy savings.




Product has no effect on human health.

A 10mm Honeycomb panel has a U-Value of 2.11, significantly lower than a typical single glazed clear window, indicating that the panels reduce transmitted heat and improve individual thermal comfort levels.

Indoor Environment Quality
Panels with appropriate tinting can significantly reduce glare, allowing a comfortable level of diffused light into the building. Noise levels will vary depending on the building design. However transmission of external source noise will be reduced through the use of this product.

Lightweight, durable and high impact resistance means breakage and serious injury due to material breakage during installation is unlikely. High strength decreases likelihood of footfall breakage in roof or skylight uses.

Red Light Comment:

Product is unlikely to cause harmful effects in its purchased form. However, there are OH&S issues related to its manufacturing process. Product is made from polycarbonate based on bisphenol-A (BPA) which is a phenol based on benzene. Bisphenol-A is associated with level 2 R-phrases such as 'Risk of serious damage to eyes' and 'Harmful to aquatic organisms'. Preventative actions should be taken to eliminate the risk related to handling bisphenol-A.

Minor issue:

This product uses aluminium accessories. Aluminium has a high embodied energy. However, in this case this is offset by the product's improved thermal performance, low maintenance lifespan, and high recycling potential.
