Narara ECOBURBIA Festival

Date: 04.02.2014

Invitation to Exhibitors, Speakers, Sponsors and Workshop Conveners

Dear Eco-Innovator and Thinker,

You are invited to be part of an exciting and innovative eco-festival to be held at Narara on the NSW Central Coast, on Saturday 26 April 2014 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Read on!

The Festival

The 2014 Narara ECOBURBIA Festival will be the inaugural festival of what is planned to become a major annual event on the Central Coast.

ECOBURBIA will celebrate and promote suburban sustainable living. We have all heard about green inner city residential developments, 10-star corporate offices and self-sufficient communities in the bush. So what about the suburbs - where most Australians live? ECOBURBIA introduces the suburban eco-frontier!

Why Narara? This regional suburb is 90 minutes north of Sydney and 5 minutes northwest of Gosford, on the NSW Central Coast. Surrounded by the hills and wildlife of the Strickland State Forest, Narara is on the main Newcastle-Sydney rail line, allowing commuters to work in Sydney while living next to nature. It is also the site for the pioneering Narara Ecovillage project, which is being developed in consultation with the Gosford City Council.

The festival will be held at the Narara Valley High School, in Fountains Road Narara, on Saturday April 26th 2014, from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is free.

The festival is the initiative of the Narara Ecoliving Network Inc. (N.E.L.N.), the not-for-profit outreach arm of the Narara Ecovillage Co-operative.   The festival will be organised and managed by Brad and Bianca Cardis of Fixx Events, creators of the very successful Avoca Beach Markets.

The event is sponsored by the Lisarow Bendigo Bank and other sponsorships are currently being negotiated.
