Ecospecifier Global Donates Green Education Prizes worth nearly $3000 for winners of 4th International Green Interiors Awards

Date: 11.05.2017

This year in Sydney at the 4th International Green Interiors Awards, Ecospecifier Global is presenting winners of two categories (Students and Office) each with the opportunity to do the full industry certified Building Empowerment program in the discipline of Materials Intelligence.

Completion of the full Building Empowerment program, valued at $1,489, will be worth a total of 78 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points for each of the two lucky winners.

Mary-Lou Kelly, CEO of Ecospecifier Global says: “The Green Interiors Awards is an important initiative for Australia because it is also an international event and we are very proud to be involved.”

Design Entries for the International Green Interior Awards close on May 27 at 11.45pm AEST

Ecospecifier Global has been supporting the growth of the green building and interiors industries since 2003 as a knowledge resource for green products  and as an educator in green materials intelligence .

Mary-Lou adds that “Ecospecifier’s mission has always been to provide resources for green designers and product manufacturers.  We continue to hold the vision that one day the sustainability design space will be the mainstream.  We hope that our education programs will help inspire and encourage more and more designers to push the boundaries.”

The full Building Empowerment program, which two winners next year will be given at the Awards night in Sydney, comprises 32 modules, containing 32 questionnaires, 22 building element  eco-guides and downloadable materials.  The winners will be able to do the full education course online at their own pace.

The interactive program is ideal for Architects, Building Designers, Green Star AP and Sustainability Assessors who want to expand their expertise to make informed choices about material selection.  The prize winners will be given the opportunity to expand their expertise by developing holistic and systematic understandings of products, their prioritization in different building elements and their overall compatibility with other materials.

Building Empowerment was designed and developed by Technical Director of Ecospecifier, David Baggs, who developed and leads the globally renowned Type 1 eco label and Certification mark Global GreenTag. David will be on the judging panel in 2017 for the first time.

We hope to see you there in June!
