Forum to help business create and maintain sustainable manufacturing practices that reduces waste and saves money

The first QWESTNet forum for 2012 will be the Turning Manufacturing Waste into Profit, QWESTNet forum on Wednesday 15 February 2012.

This QWESTNet forum will provide information to help you eliminate waste and waste costs from your business, new sustainable technologies, local case studies and the latest information aimed at helping businesses not only reduce their waste output in their manufacturing processes, but improve their profitability and competitive advantage in the market.

It's an ideal opportunity for businesses to find out how bottom-line savings can be achieved through sustainable manufacturing processes and technologies. Attendees will hear from Coc-Cola Amatil's Director of Supply Chain about their waste reduction. At past forums we have heard from Michael from Kennedy's Classic Aged Timber who by talking to his neighbour discovered that he could sell his sawdust waste directly to his neighbour isn't of paying a waste contractor to take it away, saving him a fortune each year!

With the carbon tax and the introduced waste levy on business waste going to landfill, there is growing pressure for businesses to reduce their carbon output and lower their costs while gaining a competitive advantage.  If your business is in goods manufacturing, product design, food processing or packaging, then this forum is for you.

QWESTNet forums provide an excellent networking opportunity for businesses, providing attendees with the chance to meet both producers and current users of sustainable technologies to share and develop ideas to improve their business prospects.

The QWESTNet forum is being held on Wednesday 15 February 2012 at the Ipswich Rugby Club. All businesses interested in reducing their environmental impact and business costs are invited to attend.  $40 or $20 early bird registration until 8 February and $60 for Exhibitors.
